Behavior Expectations

At Create Studio ATX, we are committed to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment where every child feels safe, respected, and valued.

By participating in our programs, you and your child agree to treat all students, staff, and instructors with kindness and respect. This includes:

• Speaking politely and using respectful language—no name-calling, teasing, or hurtful remarks

• Practicing patience—everyone learns at their own pace

• Being inclusive—welcoming and supporting others of all backgrounds, abilities, and identities

• Offering encouragement—celebrating each other’s creativity and efforts

• Respecting the space—taking care of materials and cleaning up after yourself

We believe art flourishes in an environment of kindness, curiosity, and community—and we thank you for helping us nurture that.

Please note: If a child is consistently unable to follow these expectations, a parent or guardian will be contacted and may be asked to pick up their child. No refunds will be given due to behavioral issues.

We love to get creative and have fun, which sometimes means getting messy. Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for art class, in shoes and clothing that can get dirty.

We love sharing the creativity of our students with others. We may take photographs, videos, and/or audio recordings of your child during art class and post them on our social media. We are the sole owner of any media and may use it in any way we see fit. You grant us permission to use your child’s image without any restrictions, and you waive your right to inspect or approve the media. We will never sell or share your child’s image with third parties.

Create! is a PEANUT-FREE studio. Please do not bring any food or drinks with peanuts in them. Other nuts and seeds are OK.

Create’s weekly newsletter is the best way to stay informed about upcoming classes, camps, and Open Table times. We share important updates, registration dates, special events, and studio announcements—all in one place. We strongly encourage families to read the newsletter each week so you don’t miss out on limited spots or timely information.

We are dedicated to providing a safe and fun learning experience for all. You agree that your child is physically, emotionally, and socially able to participate safely in our art programs.

We use a variety of materials in our art classes, some of which can be dangerous if not used properly. We do our best to supervise the children at all times, but accidents can happen.

• Please instruct your child not to eat or drink any of the materials.

• Please remind your child to always conduct themselves in a safe manner.

• Please remind your child to wear their shoes in the studio.

• Here are some specific safety guidelines for using our materials:

• Paint: Do not eat or drink paint. Wash your hands thoroughly after using paint.

• Glue: Do not eat or drink glue. Keep glue away from your eyes.

• Pastel: Do not eat or drink pastel. Wash your hands thoroughly after using pastel.

• Chalk: Do not eat or drink chalk. Keep chalk away from your eyes.

• Fiber: Do not eat or drink fiber. Be careful not to get fiber in your eyes.

• Wax: Do not eat or drink wax. Be careful not to get wax on your skin or in your eyes.

• Glue guns: Be careful not to touch the hot glue.

• Hammers: Use hammers with adult supervision. Be careful not to hit yourself or others with the hammer.

• Other sharp objects: Be careful not to cut yourself or others.

• Toys and small objects: Do not put toys or small objects in your mouth, nose, ear, or any other body opening where they could get stuck and cause harm.

By following these safety guidelines, you can help prevent accidents and keep everyone safe.

Liability Waiver

By enrolling, you give permission for your child to participate in Create Studio ATX’s art programs, classes, camps, and events. You understand that participation in art activities may involve some risk, and you agree to release and hold harmless Create Studio ATX from any and all liability arising from your child’s participation.

Students who are absent from a class or camp session will not receive make-up classes, pro-rated tuition, or refunds. However, we will do our best to help them so that they can work on their projects at home or in the studio.

There are no make-up classes, pro-rated tuition, or refunds for classes/camps that are due to inclement weather.

CLASSES A $50 non-refundable, non-transferable registration fee per family is required at the time of registration and is included in the tuition.

• Cancellations made before the first class will receive a full refund minus the $50 registration fee.

• No refunds are given once the first class begins.

• Tuition is non-refundable and cannot be prorated or credited for:
  

  • Child absences

  • AISD or Eanes school closures

  • Holiday/school breaks aligned with AISD or Eanes

  • Weather, power outages, emergencies, or natural disasters (including temporary closures due to COVID)

WORKSHOPS

• No refunds are given for workshops.

CAMPS Full payment is due at the time of enrollment (unless using a payment plan) and includes a non-refundable $100 deposit for 3-, 4-, or 5-day camps.

• One-day and two-day camps are non-refundable.

• Cancellations made 45+ days before the camp start date: full refund minus the $100 deposit

• Cancellations made within 44 days of the start date: non-refundable

Payment is due at the time of enrollment and we do not offer makeups or refunds for missed classes, even if you know you will miss ahead of time.

Payment Terms & Non-Payment Policy

Full payment is due by the date specified on your invoice or service agreement. By booking our services, you agree to the following terms:

• A late fee of $25 or 5% of the outstanding balance (whichever is greater) will apply to invoices not paid within 5 business days of the due date.

• We reserve the right to cancel future services, deny additional bookings, or withhold deliverables (such as photos, reports, or event access) until the balance is paid in full.

• Invoices that remain unpaid after 30 days may be referred to a collections agency or pursued through Travis County Small Claims Court (Justice of the Peace Court), where you may also be held responsible for court filing fees, attorney’s fees (if applicable), and collection costs.

If you have questions or need to arrange a payment plan, please contact us prior to your event.

Final Balance & Headcount Due 14 Days Prior The remaining balance and final headcount for your event are due 14 days prior to the party date. If we do not receive either by that date, the card on file will be automatically charged based on the confirmed headcount provided at booking.

Headcount Adjustments If the headcount changes after the 14-day deadline:

• Open Play Party Guests: $35 per additional guest • Arty Party Guests: $45 per additional guest • Day-of Add-On Guests: $75 per additional guest (if space & staffing allow)

If fewer guests attend than your confirmed headcount, the confirmed number will be honored and no refunds will be issued for no-shows.

Failure to Respond or Pay If we do not receive payment, headcount confirmation, or communication by the due date, Create Studio ATX reserves the right to: • Charge the card on file to secure staffing and materials, and/or • Cancel the event if the card is declined or communication remains unanswered

Cancellation Policy • Cancellations made 14 days or more before the event receive a refund minus the non-refundable deposit • Cancellations made within 14 days of the event are non-refundable

Day-of Policies

• Host Family May Arrive 20 Minutes Prior to the Party Start Time.

• Guests must leave when the party ends.

• Host Family Must Depart 15 Minutes After the Party End Time.

• Host family is allotted 15 minutes to gather belongings and head out. Create team members will help you pack up and take everything to your car.

• Any Early Arrivals or Late Departures Are Subject to Venue Fees ($75 per 15 minutes) and will be charged to your account.

*ALL GUESTS are expected to depart when the party ends. This is the responsibility of the host family.
